Studio D'Artisan SD-DO1 'The Origin' Regular Straight 15oz Selvedge Jeans - Onewash
The DO-1 Jeans (THE ORIGIN) hold a special place in denim history as STUDIO D’ARTISAN’s very first model — the world’s first vintage-spec selvedge jeans. For this reissue, the original fabric was studied in detail and faithfully reproduced using 6-count yarn, replicating the twists and uneven texture of the earliest runs.
Dyeing is carried out using the traditional Tokushima “kase-dyeing” method, with threads dyed and dried a total of 20 times to achieve a deep, rich indigo tone. The result is a fabric with incredible depth, authenticity, and a distinctly Japanese character. At 15oz, the denim has the perfect balance of durability and wearability, while the fit inherits the regular straight silhouette inspired by classic French workwear. This remake of the DO-1 continues to embody the pioneering spirit of Studio D’Artisan.
