Made with SAMURAI 15oz Otokogi selvedge denim;
This denim uses 100% texas cotton, which is famous for it's 'rough' texture due to the high number of short fibres. Normally, short fibres are removed to give the denim a softer and smoother feel, but Samurai adds more short cotton fibres to make the yarn even rougher. The result is a yarn that is highly uneven in size - making an extremely slubby finish on the woven product. Tension of the weave has been maximised - therefore after washing the denim actually becomes more stiff and the weave even tighter - resulting in jeans with unprecedented 'atari' (fading).
