Omoto Denim 0815 Loose Fit 13.5oz Selvedge Jeans - Onewash
The widest model in the Omoto Denim line-up, this cut is defined by a deep rise and a loose, straight silhouette from the thigh through to the knee. There’s real presence in the shape, yet it remains composed. Inspired by tailor-made trousers, the pattern is built around the structure of the human body, bringing a sense of proportion and refinement to a generously cut profile. The result is comfort without compromise, volume balanced by sophistication.
The fabric blends 65% Memphis cotton and 35% Zimbabwean cotton. The American-grown Memphis cotton, with a 27.8 mm fibre length, delivers a distinctive firmness with a supple touch, while the 28.6 mm Zimbabwean cotton introduces softness and strength in equal measure. Woven on a modified 1950s Sakamoto shuttle loom with the warp threads set under the lightest possible tension, the cloth reflects the dedication and craftsmanship of the Sanbi region.
Dyed using 100% pure indigo through traditional rope dyeing, the yarns are coloured on the surface while the core remains white. This “white in the middle” construction creates striking contrast and depth as the denim ages. The shade faithfully reproduces the classic medium-dark tone loved since the 1950s. Finished as unsanforized denim with a one-wash process, it preserves the natural texture and honest character of cotton.
